Our cabins sit deep in the Hocking Hills forest on private, wooded lots. No shared walls. No resort lobbies. No neighbors in sight. The only sounds are birdsong, creek water, and the occasional owl.
Every cabin has its own hot tub, fire pit, and deck surrounded by forest. This is what a real getaway feels like. Most cabin rental properties in the Hocking Hills area cluster their units close together along busy roads. Avenwood is different. Our 14 cabins are spread across wooded acreage in the Hocking Hills region, east of the main tourist corridor, inside Wayne National Forest where privacy is built into the landscape. You can sit on your deck in the morning and not see another structure.
The property is located at 8415 Howdyshell Road in New Straitsville, Ohio, about 35 minutes from Old Man's Cave and the other major Hocking Hills State Park formations. Cell service can be spotty in the forest, but every cabin has high-speed Starlink WiFi so you can stream, work, or just look up trail conditions before heading out.
