What is The Getaway House like?

The Getaway House is our largest property, built for friends and families who want space to spread out without losing that cabin feel. With two bedrooms and two full bathrooms, everyone gets their own space to recharge. The open living room centers around a pool table and dart board, so there is always something to do between hikes. A full kitchen with white cabinets, butcher block countertops, and a herringbone tile backsplash gives you everything you need to cook real meals together, from morning coffee to late-night snacks. Both bedrooms feature queen beds and ceiling fans, separated by a hallway so light sleepers and early risers can keep the peace. The farmhouse dining table seats the whole group comfortably. Out back, a fenced-in yard makes this cabin a standout for guests traveling with dogs. The pet fee is a flat rate that covers all pets for the entire stay. The fire pit and charcoal grill are set up for cookouts, with a picnic table under the trees for eating outdoors. A private hot tub sits on the covered deck with nothing but forest in every direction. The Getaway House is the right fit for small groups, families, or two couples who want a proper cabin vacation with room to breathe. It is the only cabin on the property that sleeps four, so book early if your crew needs the extra space.

The Getaway House has a dark brown wood exterior with a covered front porch, rocking chairs, and a low stone landscaping border along the front walkway. Behind the cabin, a shaded clearing holds the stone fire pit, wooden picnic table, and charcoal grill, with pine-needle ground and mature trees spaced far enough apart to give the group room to move around.

What's included at The Getaway House?

House rules.

• Check-in: 4:00 PM EST. Early check-in at 2:00 PM available for $50, subject to availability.
• Check-out: 10:00 AM EST. Late checkout at 12:00 PM available for $50, subject to availability.
• Pets: Welcome. $50 flat rate covers all pets for the stay. No weight or breed restrictions. $150 fine for pet damage.
• Smoking: Not allowed indoors. $250 fine for indoor smoking.
• Quiet hours: 10 PM to 8 AM.
• Parties or events: Not permitted.

Accessibility.

• Getting in: Several steps up to the entry door, no ramp. Ask us for the exact number before booking.
• Bathroom: Tub and shower combination. No roll-in shower and no grab bars.
• Layout: Single storey, no interior stairs between floors. Gravel driveway and parking pad.
• Inside there is one step down into the pool room and one more step out to the back yard.

Cancellation policy.

• Free cancellation up to 7 days before check-in. Full refund.
• Cancellations within 7 days of arrival are non-refundable, but dates may be moved subject to availability.
• For weather-related cancellations or emergencies, please reach out. We work with guests case-by-case.
• Booked through Airbnb, Vrbo or another travel site? Those bookings follow that platform's own cancellation policy. Booking direct with us gives you the most flexible terms.
