Accessibility
Effective Date: April 1, 2026 · Last Updated: July 31, 2026
This page covers two different things: how usable this website is, and how accessible the cabins themselves are. Both answers are honest, including the parts that are not good news. If something here stops you from booking a stay, contact us and a person will help you directly.
Website accessibility
We build and test this site against WCAG 2.1 Level AA. We describe the site as partially conformant, which means most of it meets that standard and some parts do not yet. We would rather tell you that than claim a clean bill of health.
What we have done:
- Every page can be used with a keyboard alone, including the date picker, the photo galleries, and the booking panel.
- Dialogs and menus move focus where you expect, keep it inside while open, and hand it back when they close.
- Every cabin photo has a written description.
- Text meets the AA contrast minimum against its background.
- Animations and background video respect your system setting for reduced motion.
- Automated accessibility checks run against the site so problems get caught before they ship.
We deliberately do not use an accessibility overlay or a widget that claims to fix a site automatically. Those tools interfere with the screen readers and browser settings people already use, and they do not fix the underlying problems.
Known limitations
Parts of the experience are supplied by other companies and we do not control their code:
- Checkout. When you continue to payment you move onto our booking platform's own pages. We do not control that software. If you hit a barrier there, call or email us and we will take the booking for you.
- Map. The map on our contact page is a Google Maps embed. Written directions and a street address are always available on our directions page, so you never need the map to find us.
- Gift cards. Gift card purchases run through a third-party widget. If it does not work for you, contact us and we will arrange a gift card by hand.
We have not yet commissioned an independent third-party audit or formal screen reader testing across every page. That is on our list, not finished.
Physical accessibility of the cabins
Please read this before booking if anyone in your party has mobility needs. Our cabins were not built to be barrier-free, and we would rather you know that now than discover it at check-in.
- No cabin has a ramp to the entry. Every cabin has steps at the door.
- No cabin has roll-in showers, grab bars, or other ADA fixtures.
- Driveways and parking pads are gravel, not paved.
- No cabin has an elevator or a lift. Every cabin is single storey, so there are no interior stairs between floors.
We do not have an accessible unit. If you use a wheelchair, none of our cabins will work for you without help at the door, and we would rather say that plainly than let you find out on arrival. The detail per cabin is below.

Tell us if something is in your way
If any part of this website or any part of a stay is hard to use, we want to hear about it. Tell us what you were trying to do and where it went wrong, and we will fix it or find you another way to get it done. We aim to reply within five business days.
If you are weighing up whether a cabin will work for you, call us before booking. We will walk you through the layout of any cabin, send extra photos, and tell you straight if we do not think it is a fit.
