What is Owl's Tale like?

Owl's Tale is a modern woodland cabin designed for two, set among the trees in one of the more sheltered spots on the property. The cabin sits low in the woods, surrounded by mature hardwoods that give it a sense of privacy and quiet that feels different from the ridge-top cabins. Inside, the double-sided cedar and stone wood-burning fireplace anchors the open layout, warming both the living room and the queen memory foam bed with its caramel tufted headboard. The hanging egg chair sits by a window where afternoon light filters through the canopy. A gray sofa, flat-screen TV, and a wood dining table fill out the living area, keeping the space functional without feeling crowded. The kitchenette has white cabinets, a double sink, burner plates, a microwave, a full-size black fridge, and a coffee maker, with open shelving for wine glasses and mugs. The bathroom features a granite vanity, oil-rubbed bronze faucet, decorative metal art on shiplap walls, and a glass-enclosed walk-in shower with gray tile. The covered front porch has a black rocking chair and ceiling fan, while the back deck holds the private hot tub and a bistro table with an American flag. Down in the yard, a fire pit with metal bench seating and a charcoal grill are ready for evening use. Owl's Tale is a strong choice for couples who want modern comfort wrapped in a woodland setting that feels tucked away from everything. House rules.

• Check-in: 4:00 PM EST. Early check-in at 2:00 PM available for $50, subject to availability.
• Check-out: 10:00 AM EST. Late checkout at 12:00 PM available for $50, subject to availability.
• Pets: Welcome. $50 flat rate covers all pets for the stay. No weight or breed restrictions. $150 fine for pet damage.
• Smoking: Not allowed indoors. $250 fine for indoor smoking.
• Quiet hours: 10 PM to 8 AM.
• Parties or events: Not permitted.

Accessibility.

• Getting in: Several steps up to the entry door, no ramp. Ask us for the exact number before booking.
• Bathroom: Walk-in shower. No roll-in shower and no grab bars.
• Layout: Single storey, no interior stairs between floors. Gravel driveway and parking pad.

Cancellation policy.

• Free cancellation up to 7 days before check-in. Full refund.
• Cancellations within 7 days of arrival are non-refundable, but dates may be moved subject to availability.
• For weather-related cancellations or emergencies, please reach out. We work with guests case-by-case.
• Booked through Airbnb, Vrbo or another travel site? Those bookings follow that platform's own cancellation policy. Booking direct with us gives you the most flexible terms.
