Anniversary Cabins in Hocking Hills
An anniversary is a reason to slow down. These five cabins are the ones we recommend most often for couples marking a milestone. Each one combines a private hot tub with a fireplace you can see from the bed, and every cabin sits on its own wooded lot where you can spend a full weekend without seeing another car.
All five cabins accommodate two guests. Three of them (Cherokee Way, Eagles Nest, and Millers Den) feature a real jacuzzi or indoor soaking tub in addition to the outdoor hot tub, which many couples ask about for winter anniversaries. The two newer cabins (Owl's Tale and Butterfly Ridge) have double-sided wood-burning fireplaces that warm the living area and the bedroom at the same time, plus a hanging egg chair that catches afternoon light through the trees.

What makes these cabins good for anniversaries?
There are a few things that come up every time a couple tells us they are celebrating an anniversary. First is privacy. Every Avenwood cabin sits on its own wooded lot with no shared walls and no line of sight to the next cabin. You can sit in the hot tub at 2 AM in whatever you want. Nobody will hear you except the owls.
Second is warmth in the cooler months. Our original-style cabins (Cherokee Way, Eagles Nest, Millers Den) pair a stone gas fireplace with indoor jacuzzi tubs, which is a combination that shines on cold October and December nights. The newer cabins (Owl's Tale, Butterfly Ridge) have double-sided wood-burning fireplaces you can see from the memory foam bed. Firewood is available as an add-on.
Third is the setting. We are in the Hocking Hills region, inside Wayne National Forest, roughly 35 minutes from Old Man's Cave and the other major state park trails. You are close enough for a morning hike and far enough that the cabins themselves are genuinely quiet. No resort, no parking lots, no check-in desk. Just a locked door and the code we send you by email.
