Horseback Riding
Trail rides through the Hocking Hills.
What is Horseback Riding?
Horseback riding is one of the best ways to cover ground in the Hocking Hills while taking in the scenery at a relaxed pace. Several outfitters in the area offer guided trail rides through forests, along ridgelines, and past some of the region's hidden natural features.
Equestrian Ridge Farm sits on 200 acres near Ash Cave and offers personalized rides for groups of up to 10 people. Rides are customized to your experience level, from quiet woodland walks to more adventurous routes at a faster pace. Every horse is matched to its rider, and the guides take the time to make sure everyone is comfortable.
Uncle Buck's Riding Stable operates in the Zaleski State Forest and offers three trail options, including the Moonville Tunnel Trail ride that passes through the historic 1857 railroad tunnel. After your ride, the Lady Buck Saloon on-site serves food, beer, and wine.
